La Famille Bourret

Gilles Bouré dit L'Espine, born in 1642 was the son of Jean Bouré and Marie D'anguy of Rouelle diocese of Avranche, France.  He arrived in Canada as a soldier of one of the four companies of the Carignan Salieres Regiment.  He received permission to remain in Canada and later was given a concession of land in Bourg Royal, that remained in the family until 1930.  He married Marie Bellehache at Quebec on June 9, 1673.

Francois-Gille Bouré was born June 11, 1683 in Charlesbourg.  He married Anne Paradis on October 16, 1705 at Charlesbourg.  His second marriage to Marie-Suzanne Proteau on February 11, 1709 at Charlesbourg gave him, among others, a son, Henri.

Henri Bouré was born on December 18, 1712 at Charlesbourg.  It was there that he married Marie-Louise Chalifour on November 15, 1734.

Henri Bourré was born February 5, 1746 at Charlesbourg and married Elisabeth Parent on October 20, 1776 at Beauport.

       Joseph Bourré was married to Genevieve Lafosse at St. Cuthbert on February 14, 1814.

Joseph Bourré and Odile Boisvert were married on November 4, 1845 at Kingsey.

    Georges Bourré married Alida Charland on October 28, 1879 at Richmond.  Of thirteen children born from this marriage was Agenard Bourret.

Agenard Bourret was born February 13, 1894 at St. Adrien de Hamm.  He married Jeanne Carrier at Rumford, Maine on September 21, 1925.  They had three sons born at Rumford.

On April 24, 1938, Jeanne Carrier died of tuberculosis at Rumford, Maine.

On August 12, 1939 Agenard married Marie-Marguerite Antoinette Fraser at Rumford, Maine.  They had three children all born at Rumford, Maine:

Marie Marguerite, on March 7, 1943   

Suzanne Marie, on March 4, 1944

Georges Joseph, on February 9, 1946.
